Starting May 16, Bernard Ave. will be open to pedestrians only. Patios will be extended and games, concerts, classes, and more will be held all summer long! Grab some food and bevvies, peruse the shops, explore Neighbourhood Plaza and Community Square and #MeetMeOnBernard.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Bernard Avenue this summer!
From patios and local shopping to events, entertainment, and community activities, it was another great season in the heart of Downtown Kelowna.
Bernard Avenue is now open to vehicle traffic.
Meet Me on Bernard will return in 2027. Stay tuned for next year’s dates, programming, and more.

What is Meet Me on Bernard?
Meet Me on Bernard Presented by Valley First transforms the 200 and 300 blocks of Bernard Avenue into a vibrant outdoor pedestrian zone in the heart of Downtown Kelowna during the summer months.
The seasonal program features expanded patios, local shopping and dining, public spaces, entertainment, activities, and special events, creating a welcoming place to experience everything Downtown Kelowna has to offer.
Meet Me on Bernard Presented by Valley First is a collaborative initiative supported by the Downtown Kelowna Association, the City of Kelowna, and FortisBC.

Night Market
The Downtown Kelowna Thursday Night Market is a weekly Spring/Summer event that is held on Thursday evenings from 4:30pm – 9:30pm between May and September in Kerry Park and the 200 & 300 Blocks of Bernard Avenue.
The Night Market hosts a mix of Downtown Kelowna businesses accompanied by artisans, crafters, local food producers, and community-based entertainment.

Meet me on Bernard Pop-up Animation application
The Meet me on Bernard Pop-up Animation applications are now open!
Meet me on Bernard is an exciting initiative to create an urban park on Kelowna’s ‘main street’ that will offer residents and visitors the opportunity to experience local shops and restaurants while enjoying other forms of animation and experiences in a family-friendly environment. The Neighbourhood Plaza on the 400 block and the Community Square on the 500 Block are ideal locations for community and business activations or demonstrations!
