#MeetMeOnBernard is back for 2023!
From May 19 – September 4, Bernard Ave. will be open to pedestrians only. Patios will be extended and games, concerts, classes, and more will be held all summer long! Grab some food and bevvies, peruse the shops, explore Neighbourhood Plaza and Community Square and #MeetMeOnBernard.

This year, Meet me On Bernard is on the 200 and 300 Blocks of Bernard Avenue only. The road closure begins on Friday, May 19, 2023 starting in the 200 Block, from “The Sails” up to Water Street. The 300 Block of Bernard (Water Street to Pandosy Street) will be included beginning July 1 through September 4.
Bernard Avenue will remain open to vehicular traffic in the 400 and 500 Blocks, except for special events.
Businesses in the 300 to 500 Blocks of Bernard Avenue who are participating in the Patio Program will take over parking spots and convert them into patios between May 19-September 4.

What is it?
Meet me On Bernard is a vibrant outdoor pedestrian zone in Downtown Kelowna featuring sunny patios, parklets, local retail, street games, and special events. When the 200 and 300 Blocks of Bernard Avenue are closed to vehicular traffic, the street is wide open to pedestrians, cyclists, and other forms of active transportation.
Meet me On Bernard is a starting point for you to explore all of what Downtown Kelowna has to offer – retail, dining, entertainment, services, and more. Experience the heart of Downtown Kelowna this summer, beginning with Meet me On Bernard!
Meet me On Bernard is a collaborative initiative presented by the Downtown Kelowna Association and the City of Kelowna.

The Meet me on Bernard Pop-up Animation applications are now open!
Meet me on Bernard is an exciting initiative to create an urban park on Kelowna’s ‘main street’ that will offer residents and visitors the opportunity to experience local shops and restaurants while enjoying other forms of animation and experiences in a family-friendly environment. The Neighbourhood Plaza on the 400 block and the Community Square on the 500 Block are ideal locations for community and business activations or demonstrations!
